Presented in March 1989 at the Geneva saloon, the Mercedes R129 series was a real revolution in the automotive world. At the same time sweet and angular, full of quality and serious technology, this Mercedes was produced in a wide range of engines, including the 500SL with a 5-liter V8 engine. The car, now a classic in Mercedes production, was replaced in 2001 with the release of the new R230.
