The 500B, presented at the 1948 Geneva Motor Show, represented the development of the pre-war model. Almost unchanged in appearance (the changes mostly concerned the dashboard and the steering wheel), it instead had a new engine, type 500B 569cc, slightly more powerful than that of the 500A. Performance also improved as a result, with a top speed going from 85 to 95 km / h. The 500B remained in production until 1949, when it was replaced by the 500C.
Officina 942 is an Italian brand that was born to produce very particular models, initially on a small scale in the style of old 1940s toys. The diecast production was followed by a resin series; the subjects are typical of the pre-war and subsequent years, reproduced with great taste and competence. In 2024, a 1:43 series in the same style made its debut, offering essential models but full of personality and evocative strength.
