Presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1955, the Giulietta sedan marked a break in the history of Alfa Romeo, inaugurating mass production. Destined to seduce a wider clientele, the Giulietta nevertheless remained a true Alfa, with a well-defined character. The Ti version, launched in 1957, was more performing, with the 1290cc engine of the Sprint Veloce and with improved brakes and trim. Barely more expensive than the standard Giulietta, the Ti remained the best-selling of the range and demand remained very high until the arrival of the Giulia in 1962.
