PROGETTO K - ALFA ROMEO - ALFETTA GTV RALLY D'ELBA 1977

After the debut in rallies with the Group 2 Alfetta sedan, Alfa Romeo prepared for 1975 a Gr.2 rally version of the GT, with the 1800 twin shaft. Autodelta organized an excellent team with top level drivers: Andruet, Ormezzano, Swiss, Ballestrieri, Pittoni, Andruet. In the following years the commitments continued somewhat sporadically but in 1978 the new GTV with the 2-liter 16-valve engine was homologated in Gr.2, which allowed Pregliasco to win the Italian championship. However, the attention was already concentrated on the Group 4 Turbodelta which would compete from 1980. In 1982, with the change of regulations, the old GT / GTV was set aside for preparation in Gr.N and Gr.A of the GTV6, which obtained excellent results on the track and in rallies.
