In 2007, Volkswagen unveiled the craziest Golf ever conceived, a one-of-a-kind model developed to amaze fans of the German GTI. This GTI was extreme in its look and performance: from the face it almost resembled a normal GTI, but in profile everything changed, with completely new sides. The engine was a 5998cc W12 twin-turbo petrol engine, derived from Bentley mechanics, consisting of two coupled and centrally mounted V6s. Other mechanical elements derived from Lamborghini and Audi cars, other brands of the Group. The power was 650cv at 6000 rpm, with a maximum speed of 325 km / h. The car remained at the concept car stage, therefore without all those developments that would have been necessary to make it handle properly.
