Derived from the 550 Maranello, the Ferrari 575 GTC was a classic car in the GT championships of the 2000s. Compared to the 575 M Maranello road version presented in 2002, this car was specially developed for the track by Ferrari Corse Clienti with the collaboration of N.Tecnology. It is no coincidence that the letter "C" that characterized his name stood for Competizione. Powered by a V12 engine extended to the displacement of 5,997.32 cm³ and capable of expressing a power of over 600 hp, with a top speed of over 335 km / h and a maximum torque of 730 nm, the 575 GTC underwent a important widening of the track always with respect to the ordinary car (1,706 mm at the front and 1,682 mm at the rear). All for a 2,500 mm wheelbase, with a dry weight of 1,150 kg. Equipped with a tubular steel frame with composite panels, flat bottom with extractor, split front adjustable and rear spoiler and independent suspensions with transverse quadrilaterals, with coil springs, telescopic shock absorbers and stabilizer bar in front and behind, this Ferrari was equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox plus reverse and disc brakes. The first success in the FIA GT dates back to 2004, on the Donington track, with the JMB Racing crew made up of Jaime Melo and Karl Wendlinger. In 2005 Ferrari transformed it into 575 GTC Evoluzione. The power was raised to 665 hp, introducing a new splitter and further aerodynamic modifications.
