SOLIDO - PEUGEOT - 205 1.9 GTi GRIFFE 1990

In the 1980s, Peugeot caused the GTI phenomenon to explode with the release of the sporty version of the 205. With a strong personality and excellent performance, the 205 GTI was a car dreamed of by young people, also ideal for racing. With increasing powers (105, 115 and then 130 horsepower), the 205 GTI had its maximum development in the 1.9 version, launched in September 1986, with 15 'wheels and rear disc brakes. A restyling was carried out in mid-1987 (dashboard), then in mid-1990 (redesigned lights and ABS as an option). Special versions were also produced, such as the Griffe, based on the GTI 1.9, which now reaches sky-rocketing prices. Raging and bright in the 1.6 engine, or full of torque and fast with the 1.9 engine, the 205 GTI is now a classic among hot-hatchbacks.
