The coupé version of the Giulietta arrived in 1954, before the sedan, a more unique than rare case in the history of the automobile. Bertone's bodywork is still considered today as one of the absolute masterpieces of the 1950s. The car had an exceptional balance of shapes and elegance, and was also widely used in competition. The Sprint Veloce (lighter and even sportier) was then marketed alongside the Sprint. Other technical and mechanical changes followed until the early sixties.
