To comply with the specific regulations of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which required cars of over 1500cc to have a 4-seater configuration, Alfa Romeo developed a special version of the 8C, built on the 3.10 m long wheelbase chassis. Bodyworked by Touring and Zagato, the Le Mans versions weighed only 80 kg more than the Monza Grand Prix versions, of which they took up the mechanics. Capable of speeds in excess of 200 km / h, the 8C 2300s dominated the scene at Le Mans between 1931 and 1934, adding to their palmarès also two triplets at the 24 Hours of Spa in 1932 and 1933. Nine were produced.
