Starting in March 1960, a special Porsche called Carrera Abarth GTL was marketed. Equipped with a 1600cc 115 horsepower engine, it was manufactured in the Zagato workshops on a design by Scaglione. Lighter than the 356B from which it was derived, it was capable of reaching a top speed of 225 km / h. About twenty units of this car, conceived for competitions, were built. During their career, some cars were equipped with the 180 horsepower 2-liter engine.
