Conceived for the regulations designed for the new SRO category, the R8 LMS GT2 ranks between the GT4 and GT3 in terms of lap times. Much faster on the straight than the GT3 thanks to an engine without restrictors, the GT2 has less grip on corners due to less exaggerated aerodynamics. In this case, the 7-speed double clutch transmission is directly derived from the standard one. The 5.2-liter V10 engine gives 640hp.
