The Brabham BT33 was supposed to debut in 1969, but a series of setbacks pushed its debut to 1970. Cleverly designed by Ron Tauranac, the BT33 had a monocoque chassis and the classic Ford Cosworth engine. The car was very competitive right from the start, with Jack Brabham at the wheel. In the following years the BT33 counted several further outings. Dave Charlton, Chris Craft, Wilson Fittipaldi, Graham Hill, Carlos Reutemann, Tim Schenken and Rolf Stommelen also drove the BT33.
