In 2019 the Williams team was the rear of the Formula 1 championship. The FW42 was completed late and once on the track proved to be very far from the competition. The project was a simple evolution compared to the 2018 single-seater, adapted to the new regulation. Some solutions, moreover, aroused some perplexity about their actual technical regularity. To make matters worse there was also the departure of Paddy Lowe, before the inauguration GP in Australia.
