The Lotus 14 Elite was produced starting in 1957. It was an elegant coupe, equipped with a 1216cc Coventry-Climax engine, typical of Lotus production. The Series II, introduced in 1959, had an advanced rear suspension, and a more powerful SE model, on which even sportier gear ratios were introduced in 1960. Even more performing were the Super 95, Super 100 and Super 105 versions. The Elite was widely used in competitions, appearing several times even at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Production ceased in 1963.
