In 1947 Fiat presented the 1100S, a sports berlinetta that was a direct descendant of the pre-war 508C MM. Equipped with an elegant aerodynamic body, the 1100S was equipped with the 1089cc engine that developed 51 horsepower. 401 copies of the 1100S were produced until 1950. The car was widely used in competitions and was also transformed by numerous small racing car manufacturers, who obtained spyder versions.
