Quite skeptical at first, W.O. Bentley took an interest in the 24 Hours of Le Mans which had been raced for the first time in 1923. Lightened and meticulously tuned, the Bentley driven by John Duff and Franck Clement managed to beat the competition of Chenard & Walcker and Lorraine-Dietrich.
