After preparing some examples of the Ferrari 365 GTB / 4 with Michelotti bodywork (called Spider NART), Luigi Chinetti, Ferrari importer in the United States, transformed another Daytona (chassis 15963) for competition use. The car was entered in the 1975 24 Hours of Le Mans but did not participate in the race due to a disagreement between the NART team and the organizers. The Daytona NART was entered in a few more races in the following years.
