At the 1971 Geneva Motor Show, while most of the attention was focused on the new Countach presented by coachbuilder Bertone, an evolution of the Miura made its debut more discreetly on the Lamborghini stand. The SV went alongside the S. Equipped with wider tires, the new SV was recognized by its different front and rear lights. The engine mounted on the SV produced about fifteen horsepower more than the S. The SV was a rather rare car, with 150 units sold; among other things, the last Miura produced was an SV, delivered on January 15, 1973.
