Objective: to transform a Vauxhall Viva HB into a sort of GT. The British manufacturer tried it in 1967, with a sports version of the 1159cc engine, which developed 9 horsepower more than the standard Viva HB. Thus was born the Brabham Viva HB, with two Stromberg carburettors and slight modifications to the mechanics. The aesthetics claimed a connection, however rather vague, with the Formula 1 champion, Jack Brabham. The Brabham Viva remained in production from 1967 to 1968.
