For the 1964 F1 season Tony Robinson designed another version of the Lotus replica, with a BRM V8 engine. The new car, called BRP-2, was piloted by Innes Ireland and Trevor Taylor, after the first races were held with the old BRP-2. Taylor was sixth in the US while Ireland took two fifth places, in Austria and Italy. BRP finished seventh in the constructors' standings with five points.
