In the early 1950s, the Spanish regime called the designer Wilfredo Ricart who worked at Alfa Romeo home to create a range of high-end sports cars. Thus was born the Pegaso. The Z-102 model was produced from 1951 to 1958, with so many body variants to make exact identification difficult. The engines of the Z-102 were all V8s, from 2500, 2800 and 3200cc. A compressor version of the 2.8-liter was capable of about 285 bhp. The Pegaso had many advantages, including an excellent chassis, but a poor level of finish and above all no historical tradition.
Esval Models was founded in 2011 by a group of collectors who had been in the business for around 40 years. Esval, whose resincast models are in 1:43, 1:24 and 1:18 scale, is specializing in various themes, all very fresh, such as American cars of the 1950s, English sports cars of the 1970s or some German cars from the 1930s. Esval is based in the United States.
