The Jimny has a tradition in Japan that has lasted since 1970, although it came to Europe much later. 1981 saw the release of the SJ410 type, larger than previous versions, while retaining all the characteristics of an agile off-road vehicle. In the eighties, this vehicle was produced by Santana in Spain under the name Samurai to avoid being included in the limited numbers of Japanese car imports in Europe. The Jimny SJ410 existed in various body configurations: three-door break, van and pick-up.
