The genesis of the Citroën C6 begins at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, when the C6 Lignage is presented, a modern reinterpretation of the stylistic elements dear to the DS and CX. The concept car will be developed until the actual release of the C6 in 2005, which will be the last large Citroën. Very successful in terms of aesthetics, the C6 will be anything but a commercial success, with about 23,000 units produced up to 2012. The engines vary from 2179 to 2993cc. The C6 is however taking revenge as it is now quite coveted by collectors.
