In May 2006, Porsche presented the 911 GT3 RS, which was then marketed in October. Recognizable by the central exhaust and the wide carbon spoiler, the GT3 RS heralded the 2007 racing version, but was homologated for road circulation. The rear track was widened and the weight of 1375kg was 20kg less than that of the standard GT3. The engine was the 3.6-liter 415 horsepower.
