In 1926 Chrysler christened a new model "Imperial" that aimed decidedly at the top of the range. Later this name was kept, again to designate the range of luxury and prestige. Technically very close to the big Chryslers, the Imperials were characterized by high-level finishes and sometimes more daring style. The Crown range remained in production, with several modifications, from 1955 to the end of the 1960s. Today the convertible versions are particularly sought after by collectors, in particular the 1961-1963 series.
