The 1988 McLaren MP4 / 4 F1 was a completely new car designed by Gordon Murray and Steve Nichols. The biggest change from the 1987 MP4 / 3 was the change to the specially designed Honda engine (type RA168-E turbo). The 1988 vintage, with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost was a triumphal one for McLaren, which won 15 out of 16 races (lost in Monza only due to a trivial accident involving Senna in overlapping a slower driver). The MP4 / 4 is considered one of the best F1 of all time.
GP-Replicas is a resincast brand specialized in reproducing Formula 1 cars from the past, in 1:43, 1:18 and 1:12 scale. The catalog is very rich, with numerous models added month after month. The miniatures are very accurate, and the brand's designers take into account the numerous evolutions and versions of the individual cars. Collectors therefore have the possibility of inserting reproductions of the most famous F.1 cars in their showcases, almost GP by GP.
