The one at the Italian GP in Monza was the last of the six victories obtained by Fangio in the 1954 F.1 World Championship, first with Maserati, then with Mercedes starting from the French GP, the third of the season. Fangio was world champion for the second time. It would be repeated in 1955, again with Mercedes.
