The postwar period gave rise to the production of a whole series of micro cars. Conceived by the Italian company Iso, this "bubble car" went into production in 1955. It was distinguished by a single front door. Production took place in seven countries, including France (Velam) and Germany (BMW) with 250 and 300cc engines. The car went out of production in 1962.
