The story of Ilario Chiera, a skilled craftsman born in Annecy, is now long. The local shop, Annecy Miniatures, famous for its creations, was one of the first sparks for Ilario's modeling passion, who began assembling his first kits in the 1980s. The meeting with the Dutch Hoogstad Cornelis pushed him to create the first masters, creating the Hilario brand (with the initial H) and working for Hostaro with Philippe Marteau (MPA). In 1996 the Carbone brand was created, with models in 1:43 and 1:87. Subsequently, Ilario Chiera decided to focus on high quality assembled models of vintage cars, marketed under the Ilario brand (this time without the H...).
