For 1927, the Grand Prix formula indicated a maximum displacement of 1500cc: for this category, Fiat prepared the 806, especially interesting for its 12-cylinder engine made up of two groups of 6 cylinders side by side. From the 1484cc displacement, this engine developed around 187 horsepower at 8500 rpm. Another two-stroke and 6-cylinder engine (type 451) was also studied, producing about 170 horsepower. The 806 was the last Fiat type Grand Prix. At the wheel of this car Pietro Bordino won the Milan Grand Prix in Monza in September 1927, at an average speed of 152.205 km / h.
