The famous Ponton series from Mercedes came with models with 4 and 6 cylinder engines. The 6-cylinder line began in 1954 with the presentation of the 220 A sedan, whose evolution, in 1956, was the 220S, with power increased from 85 to 100hp and then to 106 in 1957.
