Vat Inc. €79.95 The all-wheel drive version of the VW Transporter T3, called Syncro, went into production in March 1985. The vehicles were assembled in Austria, in Graz, at the specialist Steyr-Puch. The all-wheel drive system of the VW T3 was completely different from the Quattro system employed by Audi. In a short time the T3 Syncros were widely appreciated by private individuals and also by the police. Particularly appreciated was the version with 16-inch wheels, produced from 1987, which allowed the assembly of even more effective tyres. The Syncro was available in various configurations: van, minibus, pickup, camping car. Three engines were adopted from 1985 to 1992: 1600, 1900 and 2100cc, with powers ranging from 70 to 112hp.
