The Velorex was inspired by the British Morgan, popular three-wheeled cars. The Velorex were built in Czechoslovakia by two brothers, Frantisek and Mojmir Stransky. The origins of Velorex date back to the thirties, when the two brothers began the application study of a motorcycle engine on a three-wheeled car. Starting from 1951 the first Velorex was marketed, with the name Oskar 54, then with the initials 16/350. Twelve thousand copies were sold, of which eight thousand in Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria and East Germany. Today this vehicle is the subject of great collectible interest in Eastern European countries.
