Introduced in March 2018 and marketed since January 2019, the fifth generation RAV4 is one of Toyota's flagship cars in the global market. In 2022 it was the second best-selling car in the world (after another Toyota, the Corolla) with around 900,000 units. A facelift was presented in November 2020 and further innovations were introduced in mid-2022, above all concerning the equipment and instruments, which are now fully digital. The current engine is the 2487cc 4-cylinder hybrid or rechargeable hybrid.
