The 2017 MotoGP season was a very close one, with the top four arriving at the San Marino GP with just 23 points, something that hadn't happened since 1993. Thanks to a very competitive Ducati, Andrea Dovizioso was one of the main protagonists, but in the end Marc Marquez prevailed, winner of 6 out of 18 Grands Prix. With his Honda, Marquez concluded the championship with 298 points, ahead of Dovizioso (261) and Maverick Vinales (Yamaha, 230).
