In 1986 the XJ40 series of the famous Jaguar sedan was introduced: the lines became more angular, with new engines and better finishes that placed these cars at the top of the category. Certain basic characteristics remained exceptional, such as the design of the chassis, handling and stability. In 1990, Jaguar commissioned a more powerful version of the XJ40 from Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR), with which it also collaborated for sporting activities. Thus the XJR was born, equipped with a 223hp 4-litre naturally aspirated engine and automatic transmission. The car was characterized by a sportier set-up (with the possibility of choosing between normal and sport driving modes), a Momo steering wheel, specific alloy wheels and various other special features. Production of the naturally aspirated XJR continued until 1994.

MATRIX SCALE MODELS

From the original creators of the Neo range, this resincast series features an extremely wide choice of mostly road going cars. Some are well known classics but there are also very rare and unusual subjects ranging from Maharajah's Rolls Royces to Citroen and Volvo limousines. Casting quality is excellent, paint finishes to a high standard and plenty of photoetching used for small details. Made in China.
