In 2019 the Toro Rosso team from Faenza was in its second year of collaboration with Honda. The STR14 was a less conventional car and less founded on the search for engine reliability than the STR13 of 2018. The STR14 was less bulky than the STR13, especially in terms of sides and air intake. The car showed good potential with Albon and Kvyat. The team also showed some ability to design developments for the single-seater.
