Further developments of the world champion M23 were studied for the 1975 car, including a six-speed gearbox, a novelty at the time, which helped Fittipaldi to second place behind Niki Lauda, in his Ferrari 312T. The team experimented with various aerodynamic innovations, which were then used in the following model, the M26. The season was enriched by 2 victories (immediately on his debut in Argentina and Great Britain) by Fittipaldi and one by Jochen Mass (in the tragic Spanish Grand Prix). The third car was no longer used during the season. No pole was achieved but 2 fastest laps, one with Mass in France and one with Fittipaldi in the United States Grand Prix.
