The certainly not very brilliant sales results of the Argenta - which was nothing other than a modernized version of the old 132 - pushed Fiat to present a further updated and improved version of the car, also because the new flagship was late in arriving. The Nuova Argenta was presented in June 1983. Externally, some details such as the bumpers and side panels were modified. The five-bar Fiat logo was placed on the front grille, of a different design. The rims were also new. The interiors were also modified and modernized. In terms of engines, the range offered the 1585cc with 98hp plus the 1995cc, available with three powers: 113hp, 122hp and 135hp. To these was added a diesel and a turbodiesel, both 2445cc. Replaced by Croma, Argenta officially went off the market in January 1986.

In June 1984 Fiat introduced a more exclusive version of the Nuova Argenta, called SX on the Italian market. The car had already been presented in March of the same year, with the initials VX for the European market. The SX/VX was distinguished by the presence of the 2-liter Volumex twin-cam engine (type 132E000), which had already been used on the 131 Supermirafiori and on certain versions of the Lancia Beta. Power was 135hp at 5500 rpm, with a Weber 34ADF250 vertical double-barrel carburettor. The car could reach a maximum speed of 185 km/h.

This line of 1:18 resincast models is characterized by a search for historical accuracy and quality of detail. In most cases, the chosen models are completely new, but in the presence of subjects already reproduced by other brands the intent is to propose an even more exact reproduction, in the light of historical and documentary research.
