The 155 GTA Stradale (internal project number SE053) is quite particular. The 155 GTA proved to be a winning car in the 1992 Italian Superturismo Championship, opening a particularly happy season for Alfa Romeo in touring car competitions. It was therefore decided to set up a road model of the 155 GTA, for possible small series production. The development was not particularly complex also because the racing car already derived from the 155 Q4: modifications were however made to the engine, bodywork and rear suspensions, which took up the layout of the Lancia Delta. Mass production, however, was never decided, above all due to the high costs and the difficulty in assembling an engine suitable for road circulation, compatible with the all-wheel drive. The 155 GTA road car, with racing and then road interiors, was then exhibited and used for demonstrations on a few occasions, before being used as a medical car on the Monza circuit. Today it belongs to a private collector.
Some details of this car have changed over time. The model presented in the Mitica range reproduces the road 155 GTA in the conditions it finds itself in today. Very careful research was conducted on first-hand documentation, seeking optimal fidelity.
The Mitica range is a brand distributed exclusively by Carmodel. These models are made of resin, 1:18 scale and come with very accurate details, such as exact colors, details carefully studied in archives and first-hand documentation. The subjects range from cars from the sixties to more recent and often completely new cars in 1:18 scale.
