A typical sports car from the second half of the 1950s, the Borgward 1500 RS had lines reminiscent of those of the Aston Martin and Maserati of the time. Borgward's goal was to stand up to the competition from the Porsche 550 RS. The results were quite good, with some important exploits, such as the victory at Freiburg-Schauinsland in 1958.
