Derived from the 12, the Renault 18 made its debut in 1978. The first series, produced until 1981, offered the basic versions, TL, GTL, TS and GTS, the latter two with a slightly sportier character. Phase 2 debuted in 1982 with sporty versions (the Turbo) and particularly refined ones, especially towards the end of their career (GTS, GTX, American, American 2, Gala ...). The Renault 18 was produced until 1986.
