With the launch of the 1100B and 500B Giardiniera Belvedere at the Turin Motor Show in 1948, Fiat also introduced the D version of the 1500, with these changes above all in the mechanics: 1493cc in-line 6-cylinder engine, new front suspension and improved steering. The 1500D remained in production until 1949.
