Thanks to the front-wheel drive, the Saviem SB2 had a lower loading floor than that of the SG2, due to the absence of the propeller shaft. First marketed as Renault, then also with the Saviem logo, the SG2 was available with petrol or diesel engines. The SB2 used by the Alpine Renault racing team in the seventies are particularly famous.
