The M3 is now only available with a four-door body, while the abbreviation M4 was created for the coupe. Decidedly heavy and bulky, the new M3 has nothing to do with a tradition that since the end of the eighties had brought this type of car to the top of the touring category. The M3 is equipped with a 3-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine with two turbos. In the Competition configuration, the M3 develops 510 horsepower at 6250 rpm. There is also an M Performance version, especially designed for track days, equipped with semi-slick tires.
