Supercar or Hypercar? The question is perhaps not out of place, given that now the top builders and certain craftsmen are fighting to be able to put into production something that can go beyond the already established concept of supercar. The Apollo Intense Emotion, produced in only 10 exemplars, points to this. Aggressive and revolutionary, it comes after the Gumpert and the Arrow and makes exclusivity one of its characteristics. The Apollo was born from the imagination of Norman Choi, a businessman from Hong Kong who decided to build his own car after finding that even the most prestigious turbo or hybrid supercars of today are all driven "like Honda". Aesthetically, the Intense Emotion (also known by the abbreviation IE) is based on different sources of inspiration: on the one hand the German manufacturer mentions the lines of the fighter planes, on the other some insects and certain predators. The inventiveness of Joe Wang and Jakub Jodlowski have produced a car that hardly goes unnoticed. In parallel, the house was able to count on the genius of Paolo Garella. Fastosa and in some ways even baroque, the Apollo IE inherits a 6.3-liter V12 (780 hhp) derived from Ferrari and seems to have come out of a manga. Or maybe from a video game? The weight, this time, plays in favor of the car, with a mass not exceeding 1250 kg when empty. Moreover, its monocoque frame weighs only 104 kg and ensures performance worthy of an LMP prototype. It is no coincidence that the chassis was created by the Capricorn Group, which in its time contributed to the birth of the chassis of the Porsche 919 of the LMP1 class. Maximum speed? 350 km/h...
