The convertible version of the Saab 900 Classic was marketed since 1987, initially as 900 turbo 16. It was certainly not a sports car, but well built, moreover with a very thick hood that protected well even in cold weather. The Turbo 16 versions (175-185 horsepower) are the most common, but the “S” (1991-1994) is more homogeneous. In 1992 the special Turbo 16 Monte Carlo was presented. Production went on until 1994.
