After the prototype presented in Frankfurt in 1985, Pininfarina unveiled the definitive version of the Lancia Thema Station Wagon at the 1986 Geneva Motor Show. It was a very successful project, based on the sedan that went into production a couple of years earlier. A metal profile ran along the entire line of the roof with the function of attachment for a whole series of accessories (ski racks, roof racks and so on). At the rear, the two profiles joined together creating a sort of spoiler created in the wind tunnel.
