In 1964 an unknown British coachbuilder built a one-off Jaguar MkII Coupé starting from the base of the suitably shortened MkII sedan. The 3.8 XK engine was mounted on the car. The initiative was not followed up, also because the Works were not interested in the project, which would end up competing with the E-Type 2 + 2 that would be presented shortly thereafter.
