After the first generation of the Silver Shadow, produced from 1966 to 1970, the second series of this car introduced a more squared line and in line with the typical stylistic features of the 1970s. The V8 engine went from 6230cc to 6750cc, and was the same one that was mounted on the Corniche (1971-1987). The Silver Shadow II went out of production in 1977.
